I found my way into kiting back in the day, when tricks were evolving fast. I also found my absolute ikigai with the development of my own boards. I have been involved in board design since I was fifteen, starting with Shapes Tarifa, where everything was about custom boards because the sport was evolving at lightning speed.
For several years now, around seven to be exact, I started getting involved in judging competitions. The last five years I had the opportunity to be Head Judge in Tarifa, and since then it has become my regular job in both kiteboarding and wingfoiling.
Together with the Sports Committee and the Riders Committee, we have a massive responsibility to drive the sport in the right direction. Depending on the competition format, the final outcome and the engagement of the sport are directly related.
